We departed Seattle after one last visit to the Pike Market to buy Dungeness Crab for lunch. They said that each crab would provide a pound of meat, and they were right. What a meal it made. The weather was good, so we planned on making in thru Colvos Passage to Gig Harbor (we've heard good things about that destination). The cheese market was already busy producing...
and there were the tulips along the route back to the boat...
and one last view of our marina...
And then we were off to the South..
There are too many incredible homes along the way to possibly describe..

After a couple of hours of this beautiful view, we arrived at Gig Harbor. It is noted for the narrow entrance that is very shallow at low tide. We negotiated this and headed for the marina called Arrabella's. Here is the entrance...

And after rounding the turn...
This home, at the entrance, was for sale at $950,000...

After docking here...

we headed into town to explore..a quaint and beautiful town..
Veranda at local restaurant...

Mural in "downtown" Gig Harbor...

After getting up on Monday the 21st, we went for a run, and I found this trail above the town, on public land that has been protected for the past 40 years...

Then it was off at low tide, in order to catch the "push" from the flood tide that was to get us through the Tacoma Narrows...
Next stop is Boston Harbor, just north of Olympia...
