Preparing to depart Birmingham for Sitka

Well, the hard part is knowing that you will not see the kids for a couple of months. So these pictures must serve as our "blog" memories of the kids until July (earliest) or so (could be as late as October)...

So we are putting the finishing touches on the house preparation, the packing, and the worry list about de-winterizing the boat. We are told that the "shrink-wrap" has been removed, and she awaits our arrival in Sitka. We depart Birmingham on May 12th
