First overnight, Anacortes

Here is the marina we are in. Our morning run was to this lookout....

This is the view from the pilot house...Bucky says this is only for the "men's" to look at.

We are heading to Port Townsend tomorrow early.

Below is a picture of our "watermaker". This is nearly the same one we will have. It makes 600 gallons per day of great drinking water, from the ocean, by reverse osmosis...never run out of water again!

We found out that the "grey water" simply spills out as you use the sink, shower, etc. We were surprised last night to see soap suds floating around the boat while washing dishes...live and learn. Bucky has experimented with the Davit crane and the dinghy this morning, getting ready to anchor out and dinghy to shore...probably after we head to the San Juan's to the northwest.

This is our morning run, to the highpoint overlooking Anacortes and the Marinas.

Here are some of the "working gear" seen around backyards in a true Fishing Village.
And this is a primrose path in front of a local home. Chris said to take this picture...

The engine room!! This is the Volvo 500 HP Diesel. Everything is very accessible.
And a park in the middle of the city. These are the pictures you take when your morning run is with a camera and a wife. More tomorrow..

By the looks of that red tank on the wall of the engine room, there is a heck of a fire suppression system in there. . .
